JEE Main 2024 Result: How to Download Result, Score Card, Cut Off, Toppers

JEE Main 2024 Resultisannounced soon by National Testing Agency (NTA) after the exams. JEE Main 2024 AIR (all India rank) will also be released along with the result.Candidates can check their score by entering their application number, date of birth and security pin. Those who will qualify Joint Entrance Examination will get admission into B.Tech, B.E, B.Plan, B.Arch programmes. There are 31 NIT's, 25 IIIT's, 28 CFTI's, to which qualified candidates will get admission. However, NTA will also release category-wise cut off to clear candidates to appear in JEE Advance. Soon, the results of JEE Main Session 1 2024 will be announced. Students who took the test can check their scores on jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in once the results are released. Login credentials required to view JEE Main session 1 result include your application number and date of birth. This year, a total of 8.6 lakh candidates took Paper 1 Exam while 0.46 lakh students appeared in Paper 2 exam with an overall attendance rate of 95.79 percent — the highest since NTA started conducting the entrance test!
The results of the JEE Main 2024 will be declared on the NTA website on February 12, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the April session paper 2 of JEE Main 2024 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

For B.E./B.Tech Result
NTA Jee Main 2024 Result for B.E./B.Tech will be released soon after the exam.

For B.Arch & B.Planning

The scores will be calculated on the basis of three subjects (Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Drawing Test/Planning Based Test).

All institutes which do not use the Centralised Seat Allocation Process will prepare their ranking on the basis of performance in the JEE (Main) 2022 & other criteria as decided by them.
To get admission into NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/others through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) only the All India Rank is used.

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of JEE Main or NTA.
Step 2: Click on the "View Result/Score Card" link provided there.
Step 3: Now, enter the application number, date of birth and security pin required for downloading the result.
Step 4: Click on the "Submit" button.
Step 5: After clicking on the submit button, the IIT-JEE result will appear on the screen.
Step 6: In the last step, candidates can download their JEE Main scorecard and take the printout of the same for future reference.

How to Calcuate JEE Main 2024 Percentile?
The result for JEE Main 2022 is prepared by applying the method of normalisation since the exam is conducted on different dates and time. To make sure that no one is either no aspirants at disadvantage, NTA will rank the candidates based on the percentile score obtained in the entrance exam. The percentile score is obtained based on the relative performance of all the aspirants appearing in the exam. The topper in each session will get the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable. After which the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles. It is calculated by using the following formula:
100 x Number of candidates who appeared in the ‘session’ with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate / Total number of the candidates who appeared in the ‘session’
Method of Resolving Ties in JEE Main 2024

For B. Arch
The tie between applicants obtaining equal total NTA scores in B.Arch will be resolved in the following descending order:

For B.Planning
The tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in B.Planning will be resolved in the following descending order:

JEE Main 2024 Counselling
Once NTA declares JEE Mains result, a cut off score for JEE Advanced 2022 category-wise is released. Students can apply for admission in various private colleges for admission in B.Tech programmes. After this, JEE Advanced is conducted by the respective conducting body. Those who qualify JEE Advanced will be then eligible to participate in JoSAA 2022 which conducts counselling joint seat allocation process for admissions to 100 institutes including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Other GFTIs.
