CSIR UGC NET 2022 Exam Pattern: Marks Distribution, Questions, Duration

CSIR UGC NET 2022 Exam Pattern has been released on the official information bulletin of June session. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test 2022 exam for June session determines the eligibility of the candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant professorship/Lectureship (LS) in different Institutions/ Colleges / Universities of India. The CSIR UGC NET 2022 Question paper consists of 03 Parts (Part-A, Part-B & Part-C). There will be no break between Part-A, Part-B & Part-C the examination will be held for 3 hours continuously. CSIR UGC NET 2022 Exam Pattern
There will be three parts in the CSIR UGC NET 2022 examination for the June session. The Test will consist of 03 Parts (Part-A, Part-B & Part-C respectively). Details regarding exam pattern are enlisted in the table below:

- The medium of Question Paper shall be in English and Hindi as well.
- Exam Duration will be of 3 hours (180 minutes) without any break.
- Marking Scheme is differential and vary subject-wise.
- No marks will be given for unanswered questions.
- In case of the wrong question, the benefit of marks will be given to the aspirants who have attempted the Question.
CSIR UGC NET 2022 Subject-wise Marking Scheme
The marking scheme for different subjects of CSIR UGC NET 2022 session is illustrated in the image below. Aspirants are advised to go through the below image for essential details i.e; total no. of questions, marks for every correct response, negative marking, etc.
- Chemical Sciences: The applicant is needed to respond a maximum of 15, 35 and 25 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. In any case, if more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 35 and 25 questions in Part A, Part B, and Part C respectively will be considered for evaluation.
- Earth Sciences: The applicant is asked to answer a maximum of 15, 35 and 25 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. In any case, if more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 35 and 25 questions in Part A, Part B, and Part C respectively will be considered for evaluation.
- Life Sciences: The applicant is expected to answer a maximum of 15, 35 and 25 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. In any case, if more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 35 and 25 questions in Part A, Part B, and Part C respectively will be considered for evaluation.
- Mathematical Sciences: The aspirant is needed to answer a maximum of 15, 25 and 20 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. In any case, if more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 25 and 20 questions in Part A, Part B, and Part C respectively will be considered for evaluation. In Part C each question may have "ONE" or "MORE" correct choices. Credit in a question shall be given only on the identification of "ALL" the correct options in Part C.
- Physical Sciences: The entrants are advised to answer a maximum of 15, 20 and 20 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. If more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 20 and 20 questions in Part A, Part B and Part C respectively will be granted for evaluation.
General Information regarding CSIR UGC NET 2022
- The test will be in Hindi and English version. In case of any ambiguity between Hindi and English version due to translation, the English version would be treated as final.
- If a candidate attempts more than the required no. of questions then only the First Set of required questions will be considered for scoring.
