PGIMER 2023 Application Form
Candidates can go through the instructions given below for filling the PGIMER Application form (January) 2023:
- The PGIMER 2023 Application Form January Session can be filled online at "pgimer.edu.in".
- Candidates will have to fill all the required details correctly in the application form including name, address, contact number, course name and so on.
- Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
- After completing the application process, candidates must take a printout of the application form in abundance, to lower the chances of any inconvenience during the admission process.
- After completing the form the applicants received an Acknowledgement of successful Online Registration on the registered email id.
- Candidates will be allowed to apply for only one subject in MCH/ DM courses as applying of more than one subject will lead to cancellation of form.
- Sponsored and foreign national applicants will have to acknowledge their application with the required documents (NOC from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi for foreign national candidates and aspirants who are belonging to Sponsored Category are needed to submit their NOC & Sponsorship Certificate from their Required Authority and applicants who are presently employed are required to submit their NOC from Employer) to below address 15 days before the entrance test:

PGIMER 2023 Application Fee

PGIMER 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates need to have all the important information about PGIMER 2023 eligibility (January). The information about PGIMER eligibility criteria 2023 is given hereby: - For House Job ( Oral Health Sciences) Courses:
- The candidates must hold a degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) recognized by the Dental Council of India.
- The applicants are eligible for House Job within three years after obtaining the BDS degree.
- For DM/M.Ch courses:
- The candidates must hold a degree of Doctorate of Medicine to apply for DM courses.
- To apply for M.Ch courses applicants must hold a degree of MS/MD from a recognised board or university.
- For MD/MS Courses:
- Qualification Requirement: The applicants willing to apply for MS/MD courses need to have completed their MBBS from a University which is MCI recognized.
- Internship: The candidates should have completed rotatory internship training for the 1-year duration and they should have completed the training before 31 Dec 2021 (for the January Session admissions).
- Registration Criteria: The candidates should be registered under State/Central registration council.
- For the PhD programme:
- Qualification Requirement - For Medical Candidates -
- The candidate must score a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in MBBS / MDS / Master of Physio-therapist. OR MD / MS in the subject concerned or Diplomat of National Board of Examination from Medical Council of India.
- For Non-Medical Candidates - The applicants must have a minimum of 60% marks in M.Sc / MA / Masters in Engineering or its equivalent from the colleges/institutes recognised by UGC OR have qualified NET exam conducted by UGC & Junior Research examination conducted by Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, ICMR-JRF/ ICMR - SRF / DBT-JRF / DBT- SRF/ Graduate aptitude test (GATE), INSPIRE fellowship / UGC-JRF/ UGCSRF/ CSIR - JRF / CSIR- SRF/ DST - JRF/ DST –SRF/ GPAT (within 2 years).
- For Fellowships & Post Doctoral Fellowships PGI
- An applicant must hold a degree of MD/MS from a University/Institute recognised by the MCI.
- Must have either completed or due to complete, two years senior residency in the
concerned department on or before 31st December/30th June for January and July session respectively. - The applicants must be registered with the Central /State Medical Registration Council.

Method of Resolving Ties
The applicants can go through the details for tie-breaker rules for PGIMER January session below. If two or more candidates obtain equal percentile scores, then inter-se merit for selection shall be determined on the following basis:
For MD/MS Course
- A candidate who will score higher marks in MBBS examination will be given preference then the lower marks scorer.
- If the aggregate marks scored in the MBBS exam are same then a candidate senior in age will be given preference then the younger one.
For PhD Programme: The tie-breaker rule for Medical candidates & non-medical candidates are mentioned below:
Medical Candidates - If two or more candidates obtains equal marks in the entrance examination:
- The applicants attempted several times for MBBS/MD/MS examination will be given lesser priority than the candidate who has made lesser attempts.
- The candidates who have scored higher marks in MBBS/MD/MS examination will be given a higher rank than the one who has scored lower marks.
- If the marks obtained are the same in the passing exam then the candidate senior in age will be given priority.
Non-Medical Candidates- If two or more candidates obtains equal marks in the PhD entrance examination:
- The candidates who have made more attempts in M.Sc exam will be given priority than the candidate who has made lesser attempts.
- If attempts made are the same in the qualifying M.Sc exam then the applicant who has scored higher marks will be given priority.
- The applicants who will be senior in age will be ranked higher than the junior one.
For House Job (Oral Health Sciences) courses: If two or more candidates scores equal percentile, then inter-se merit for selection shall be determined on the following basis:
- An applicant who has obtained higher aggregate marks in BDS examination shall
rank higher to a candidate who has obtained lower marks. - If the aggregate marks obtained in BDS examination are the same, then a candidate senior in age shall rank higher to a candidate who is junior in age.
For DM/M.Ch Courses: If two or more candidates obtain equal percentile scores, then inter-se merit for selection shall be determined in the following ways:
- Applicants who will score higher aggregate marks in MD/MS examination shall rank higher to a candidate who has obtained lower marks.
- If the aggregate marks obtained in MD/MS examination are the same, then a candidate senior
in age shall rank higher to a candidate who is junior in age.

PGIMER 2023 Counselling
PGIMER 2023 Counselling for MD/MS, DM/MCH and DM Hospital Administrative courses will be conducted through offline mode. Candidates are required to choose their preferences during the PGIMER counselling session.
- The Counselling process for MD/MS course will start soon after the results will be announced
- Counselling for MD/MS Courses will be held in four rounds.
- Seats will be allotted to the candidates based on the rank obtained by the applicants, availability of seats and preference filled by them etc
- In case candidates are not allotted seats in the first round, then they can attend counselling for the second, third or fourth round. Candidates will have to pay the counselling fees to participate in the counselling rounds.
- For the counselling, students must be individually present at the allotted venues with some important documents for verification.
