NEET UG 2023 Exam Pattern: Detailed Exam Pattern

NEET UG 2023 Exam Pattern will be decided by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST(NEET) is conducted with the aim to offer admissions to candidates in MBBS and BDS courses and other Under Graduate(UG) medical courses in approved or recognized Medical, Dental or any other College or Institute of India. National Testing Agency is has been established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and Government of India (GOI). NEET UG 2023 is to be conducted on 3rd May 2023(Sunday) which now has been postponed. NEET is the only exam that is a pen and paper-based test conducted by NTA. The exam pattern of NEET-UG 2023 as prescribed by National Testing Agency is mentioned below.

  • Number of Questions: 180
  • Mode of exam: Offline mode
  • Time Duration: 3 Hours
  • Type of questions: Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs)
  • Number of sections: 3
  • Name of sections; Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Maximum Marks: 720
Marking Scheme: 
  • Candidates will be allotted 4 marks for every right answer. 
  • For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted from candidates overall score.
  • It is not compulsory to attend all the questions.
  • It is not possible to change a marked answer.
  • Multiple answers will be considered as an incorrect answer and will be negatively marked.
  • There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
