AP EDCET is a state level examination. The students who are willing to take admission in B.Ed courses must have passed their B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Sc ( home science) / B.com / B.C.A/ B.B.M at Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) located in Andhra Pradesh. The candidate must be a resident of Andhra in order to apply for the entrance test.
The exam of AP EDCET will be conducted in offline mode that is through pen and Paper based mode and all the questions of the said examination will be of objective types. The medium of the paper will be English and Telugu only, the only exception that exists is, those candidates who had opted for Kurnool as their exam centres will get an additional option to choose Urdu as their medium of the paper.
Those candidates who are willing to appear for AP EDCET should follow the below mentioned few guidelines related to the specified examination.
Students are advised to attempt the sample paper to have a clear idea of the entrance test.
AP EDCET is an offline exam which is pen and paper based. Total questions will be 150 that will be of objective type (MCQs). The exam will be held in English and Telugu except for the optional subjects, however students who choose Kurnool as Test Centre can opt for Urdu language as their medium of examination.
The common entrance test will be MCQs type (multiple choice) examination, the registered candidate is required to answer the question paper which has 150 questions in 180 minutes i.e 2 hours. To get a brief idea follow the table below
There are a total 3 sections i.e . Part A, Part B, Part C. Part A consists of General English with 25 questions, each carrying 1 marks; Part B consists of General Knowledge with 15 questions, each carrying 1 marks and Teaching aptitude with 10 questions, each carrying 1 marks; Part C states that a candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions with 1 mark each. Options available for Part C includes,
Part A and Part B are common for all the registered candidates, irrespective of the choices made in part C.

The qualifying marks in the exam of AP EDCET for all the registered candidates with the exception of SC/ST is 25% of the total 150 marks which makes it to be 37 out 0f 150. For candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks available for ranking. There will be no minimum marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.
The entrance test is of 120 minutes that is 2 hours for 150 questions each carrying 1 mark. All the important information related to AP EDCET 2022 exam pattern are mentioned below:
