IIT Bombay PhD 2020 Application Process

Candidates may check the application process for IIT Bombay PhD 2020 through the below mentioned points:

  • Application form will be submitted through online mode only.
  • Offline forms will not get accepted.
  • Candidates need to fill all the required details in the application form very carefully.
  • Application form with incomplete/incorrect details will not get accepted.
  • After filling the application form, candidate need to submit the application form.
  • Candidate need to pay the application fees depending on the various category.

Mode of Payment: Application fee can be paid via online mode. Fees can be paid through SBI Internet Banking/ Online Payment System. Application without application fee will not be considerd.

IIT Bombay PhD 2020 Admission Procedure

Candidates may check the IIT Bombay Phd admission procedure through the below mentioned points:

  • Admission is offered on the basis of an interview held usually a month before the commencement of the semester for which admission is sought.
  • Candidates called for the written Test/Interview under Teaching Assistantship (TA) category, only candidates belonging to SC/ST & PwD categories will be paid single second class return railway fare by the shortest route (as per rules) from their place of residence to the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT Bombay PhD 2020

Candidates may check the eligibility critera for IIT Bombay Phd 2020 admission though the below mentioned points:

  • Master’s Degree in Eng./Technology or equivalent degree, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Eng./Technology with first class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
  • Master’s degree in Science or equivalent degree, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Commerce or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), only for admission to the PhD Programs offered by the Industrial Design Centre and Dept. of Humanities & Social Sciences.
