• Admission to the B.Tech, B.Sc. and the B.Tech + M.Tech. dual degree courses will be based on the score obtained by candidate in the JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
• Admission to the B.Des. course is done on the basis of rank obtained by candidate in the UCEED
• Admission to the M.Tech and M.Tech. + Ph.D. courses is purely based on the score obtained in the GATE.
• Admission in M.Sc. and M.Sc. + Ph.D. courses is done on the basis of IIT JAM score
• Admission in M.Des. course will be done on the basis of score obtained in the CEED
• Admission to the M.Mgt. and MBA programs will be done on the basis of score obtained in CAT and performance in the Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted by the university.
• Admission to the M.Phil program will be done on the basis of the M.Phil Entrance Test (MET) score.
• Admission to the Ph.D. program will be done on the basis of GATE/UGC-NET score and on the basis of performance in a written test and personal interview.

IIT Bombay Postgraduate Admission 2020

At the Post graduation level, IIT-B offers admission in M.Tech, M.Sc., M.Sc./M.Tech. + Ph.D. in various disciplines. The college offers Master’s degree in Design, Management, Public Policy, Urban Planning, and Design.

Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai provides M.Tech course with 16 specializations. M.Tech. + Ph.D. is the dual degree program offered at the Post graduate level. For admission in M.Tech and M.Tech. + Ph.D., the candidate must have clear B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent degree with 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA, from the relevant branch.

The institute also offers an M.Phil in Humanities and Social Sciences.

• Admission to the M.Mgt and EMBA courses is based on the score obtained in the CAT exam.
• The admission will be followed by a performance in the Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
• For admission in EMBA course, a candidate must have relevant work experience to be eligible for admission.

Selection Criteria

• Admission to the Ph.D. course is based on GATE/CEED scores followed by the performance of candidate in the personal interview.
• Institute may also take a written test followed by an interview for admission.
• M.Tech. + Ph.D. and M.Sc.+ Ph.D. dual degree holders can also apply for this course.
• Candidates with dual degree, grade point of the last two semesters of the course will be considered.
• Applicants must have any one of the following: CSIR JRF/UGC/NBHM/DBT/ICAR/ICMR/ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship or a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
• Candidates with UGC–NET Lectureship can also apply for Teaching Assistantship in the Humanities and Social Science Department.
