- For B.A / BBA/ JMC – Candidate must have 50% marks in aggregate in class XII (Higher Secondary) without the mark in extra optional subject.
- For B.Com.– 50% total percentage and 40% marks in English in class 12 without the mark in extra optional, if any.
- For B.Sc.(IST)– 50% marks in class 12 (science stream) without the mark in extra optional, if any OR Three-year Diploma in Engineering with at least 50% marks from an institution recognized by State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Odisha.
- For B.Sc.(ITM)– 50% marks in class 12 (science stream) with mathematics as a subject without the mark in extra optional, if any OR Three-year Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks from an institution recognized by State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Odisha.
- For B.Sc. – 50% marks in class 12 without the mark in extra optional, if any. However, candidates must have Mathematics as the main subject to apply for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Statistics Honours and only candidates with Biology as the main subject can apply for Botany or Zoology Honours.
Eligibility for Integrated B.A.B.Ed And B.Sc. B.Ed Programme
General category candidates must have 50% marks in the qualifying exam, i.e. class XII, without the extra optional, if any, to apply for the course. However, candidates from ST and SC categories must have 45% marks at the Higher Secondary level without the extra optional.
Eligibility for Postgraduate Programme

Ravenshaw University Admission Procedure For M.Phil programme
Stage 1: Written Test
The written Entrance Test consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 100 marks with a duration of two hours. Halves of these MCQs will be from Research Methodology and the rest will be from the concerned/allied subjects. There will be no negative marks. Candidates must have at least 50% marks in the written test to qualify for an interview.
Stage 2: Assessment of analytical-cum-Research Aptitude (Interview)
Only qualified candidates can appear for the interview round. The objective of this round is to assess the writing and analytical skill of the candidate. In the interview with DRC, candidates have to discuss their research interest/area before the Department Research Committee. The candidate has to write about his/her area of research interest (500 words).
Ravenshaw University Admission Procedure for Ph.D. programme
Stage 1: Written component of Entrance test
Ravenshaw University Ph.D. admission 2023 will be provided on the basis of a written test that consists of 100 MCQ-type questions with a duration of two hours. The entrance test will be based on the PG level course of Ravenshaw University. 50% of these questions will be from Research Methodology and the other 50% will be from the concerned/allied subjects. Candidates must have 50% in their written test to qualify for the university admission round.
Stage 2 Assessment of analytical-cum-Research Aptitude (Interview)
The qualified candidates can appear in the interview conducted by the concerned department DRC. The objective of the interview is to assess the writing and analytical skill of the candidate on the date of the interview. In the interview with DRC, besides the subject, the candidates are supposed to discuss their research interest/area before the Department Research Committee. The candidate has to bring a research proposal of his/her research interest in about 2000 words.
Ravenshaw University 2023 Merit List/Result
The selection of candidates depends on the Ravenshaw University 2023 merit list prepared by the university itself.
