NLU Delhi B.A. LLB (Hons) Admission 2023

For admission in the first year of 5-year B.A. LL.B. programme, the candidate must have a qualified national level AILET entrance exam. Foreign candidates need not appear in the AILET exam.

NLU Delhi B.A. LLB Eligibility Requirements

• Candidates seeking admission in B.A. LL.B. at NLU Delhi must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized organization.
• Applicants who are appearing in the class 12 exam can also apply for admission but such candidates need to show a result card as proof of qualifying for the exam at the time of admission.
• Foreign candidates must secure at least 65% marks in the class 10+2 examination of the system or equivalent.
• Candidate age must not be more than 21 years in age on July 1st of the year of admission and for SC/ST, the age limit is 23 years.

NLU Delhi B.A. LLB Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidate is purely based on the candidate's merit in the AILET entrance exam. 

• Candidates will have to score at least 40% marks (SC/ST candidates must have 30% marks) in the AILET entrance exam to apply for admission.
• The entrance examination fee is Rs 3000/- for the general category, and for SC/ST and the person with a disability the application fee is Rs 1000/-. 
• There is no fee for SC/ST below poverty line candidates.
• If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the AILET exam, then the overall merit list will be prepared after considering class 10+2 marks as well.
• Foreign national applicants are exempted from the AILET exam.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed by the college authority through the official website or registered email, SMS, etc.

National Law University Delhi LLM Admission 2023

NLU Delhi offers admission in a year-long LL.M course at the PG level. For admission to the LLM course, candidates must have a qualified AILET entrance exam followed by an interview. 

NLU Delhi Eligibility Requirements

For LL.M Course:

• Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (SC/ST candidates/Persons with a disability must have secured 50% marks) in the LL.B. exam or equivalent degree.
• Foreign candidates must score a minimum of 55% marks in LL.B. degree recognized by Association of India Universities.
• The communication skills of foreign nationals will be tested based on written and spoken English performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.

LL.M (Pro)

• Candidates with at least 50% marks and have been in service, or has had professional experience for at least three years can apply for admission in this program.

NLU Delhi Selection Criteria

LL.M

• Candidates whose results are awaiting too can also apply for a course but such candidates need to display the proof of passing the exam at the time of admission.
• Foreign candidates are exempted from the entrance exam.
• OCI/PIO candidates can apply either under the FN category or under the category of Indian Students. Such candidates can apply under the category of Indian Nationals and must appear in AILET exam.

LL.M (Pro)

• Candidates are shortlisted based on marks secured by them in graduation. The merit cut-off list will accordingly be prepared.

National Law University Delhi P.G. Diploma Admission 2023

National Law University also offers admission in PG Diploma courses in various disciplines of Law. Candidates with any graduation degree can also apply for the courses. 

National Law University Delhi PhD Admission 2023

Whole admission process for shortlisted candidates in the PhD program comprises of two stages. Selection is based on the merit of the candidate.

The university also offers Research in Law through a 2-year full-time or 3-year part-time PhD program. 

NLU Delhi Selection Criteria

• For admission in the Ph.D. program, the candidate must have to appear in the written test conducted by the University and merit in the qualifying exam. UGC Net/JRF/SLET and M.Phil. qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in the University written test.
• All qualified candidates have to submit a research proposal and the selected proposal will be needed to give a presentation on the topic before the Doctoral Committee.

Exam Pattern

Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks (SC/ST candidates must have 40% marks) in the written test to qualify for submission of the research proposal

Candidates have to fill the NLU application form 2023 in online mode. To apply for admission, the candidates must visit the NLU official website and fill the AILET Application Form. 

• Visit the NLU Delhi official website.
• Fill the details into the User Registration Form for the registration purpose.
• Confirm Registration details by clicking on the Confirm button.
• Login using the credentials such as User ID/email ID and password.
• Proceed to fill the application form.
• After filling all the details, click on the Submit button to save the details.
• Pay the registration fee and print the duly filled application form for future use.

The fees can be paid through online payment gateway via Debit/Credit card or Net Banking.
