MAHE Manipal Full-Time PhD Admission 2020 

There are three categories under full-time admission through which MAHE offers admission to the candidates. All categories are discussed below:

• Admission through Valid National Fellowship

The university invites PG holders with UGC-NET / CSIR-NET-JRF/ ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF (BET)/ JEST/ Inspire Fellowship or any other state or national level test in regenerative medicine, dentistry, public health, medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, allied health sciences, engineering and management.

• Thrust areas of research available at various institutions of Manipal Academy of Higher Education for candidates already having a fellowship are Health Sciences and Technical.
• Few of them under both are mentioned below:

• Through Dr TMA Pai PhD scholarship program

Those who qualify the online entrance test of MAHE are eligible to apply for grant in aid instituted by MAHE under the Dr TMA Pai Scholarship Scheme. A total of 200 fellowships would be awarded twice a year and would be called the Dr TMA Pai fellows.  There would be two made in a year one in February and the second in August. Final selection will be done through written test and interview.

• Admission for those Working in Research Centre/ Funded Project

Applicants who will be admitted under this head will be affiliated and collaborating with MAHE.

Eligibility Criteria for MAHE Manipal PhD Admission 2020

A candidate seeking admission to the PhD. the program must have an aggregate of 60% or an equivalent grade in any of the following: 

• Postgraduate degree or equivalent from UG recognised universities/institutions.
• Masters in Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences or Engineering
• MBBS or BDS or an undergraduate degree which of minimum 5 years.
• Pharm. D. / Pharm. D. (Post Baccalaureate)

MAHE Manipal Part-Time PhD Admission 2020 

Those who are not able to join full-time research programs can go for part-time but will have to qualify below-mentioned criteria along with the above mentioned educational qualification.

• Candidates who are the faculty/employees of MAHE are eligible to induct into the PhD programme, upon recommendation from the Institutional Head, Research Supervisor and Doctoral Advisory Committee.
• This provision is for those candidates who shall take an undertaking that their routine responsibilities would be duly attended and under no circumstances compromised.

MAHE Manipal PhD Admission 2020 Application Process

Candidates can follow the below steps to apply for the PhD program at Manipal University:

• Visit the official website of Manipal University.
• Click on the link given " Apply " at the top of the page.
• Then fill the details for registration. Details to be filled are valid email address and contact number, password, program, stream.
• After registration login with the registered id or mobile number and password.
• Then fill the remaining details asked like educational details, guardian's details, national level entrance exam qualifying details, employment details, etc.
•  Must upload the scanned copy of passport size photo and signature in the JPEG Format Only.
• All candidates must submit the fee as without it form will not be accepted.
• Once the form has been filled must get the printout of it and keep it safe till the admission process is over.

• On the official website, the candidates will have to go to the PhD section. In Handbook and Downloads application form is given. 
• Click on the link and form will be open to download.
• Fill the form with all relevant data, affix the photo and send it to the research coordinator of the MAHE Manipal along with the following enclosures:
  • Attested copy of Master's degree certificate and Scorecard/Marks card
  • Copy of the Grant sanctioned / JRF selection letter / competitive exam scorecard
  • Affidavit for change of name(if any)
  • Research protocol
  • Soft copy of the protocol
