Galgotias University Academic Scholarships

The University offers scholarships to the meritorious candidates based on his / her academic performance in qualifying examinations as per the university viz 10+2 or graduation scores, rank/score in All India/State Level Entrance/Aptitude Test and based on skills in sports, performing arts or literature, etc. The university offers various UG, PG courses in different fields for which the scholarships are given which helps the candidates to proceed for their higher education without any much financial stress.

GU Merit-Based Scholarship on Admission

Merit-based awards are provided based on a student's academic, athletic, artistic or other abilities and other factors in an applicant's extracurricular activities and community service record. The most common merit-based scholarships are given on recognizing the academic achievements of the students or high scores on standardized tests. Most such merit-based scholarships are paid directly by the institution the student attends.

• In order to encourage the students to achieve higher performance during their studies, the university rewards merit scholarships for them in recognition of their academic performance.
• From the second year onwards these scholarships are awarded.

GU Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections or differently-abled students based on their performance in the qualifying examination.

• The Centrally Sponsored Scheme “National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme” was launched in May 2008.
• Students whose parental net income is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum are eligible to avail the scholarships.
• The selection of students for scholarships award is made through an examination conducted by the State Governments.
• The scholarship amount is transferred directly into the bank accounts of students on a quarterly basis by the State Bank of India.
• The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 12000/- per annum.

Galgotias University Entrance Exam (GUEE) Scholarships

Galgotias University Sports Quota Scholarship

Under Galgotias University Sports quota, candidates can secure admission at the university in two ways:

• Direct Admission without Sports Trials - all candidates who have represented India in any of the following competitions are eligible to secure admission at Galgotias campus without taking the Sports Trials:  
  • Olympic Games by International Olympic Committee (IOC) 
  • Paralympics Games by International Paralympics Committee (IPC) 
  • Commonwealth Games by Commonwealth Games Federations (GCF) 
  • World Cup by International Sports Federations (ISF) / World Championship
  • Asian Games by the Olympic Council of Asia 
  • Asian Championships by International Sports Federations (ISF)
  • South Asian Games (SAG) by South Asian Sports Council (SASC) 
• Admission with Sports Trials - all candidates who have not participated in any of the above-listed competitions will have to take Sports Trials:
  • The eligibility criteria for Sports quota candidates are such that maximum 40 marks will be considered for the Sports Certificate. 
  •  Candidates need to appear for sports trial for Game / Sport Specific Fitness, Fundamental Skills and Overall Playing Ability. 
  • Galgotias Sports Department will conduct trials for a specific sport or game. Out of 60 marks (maximum) in sports trials, candidates need to secure at least 30 marks (50% marks) in order to be eligible under Sports quota.
  • Besides, candidates should not be employed anywhere while pursuing a UG course at GU. 
  • A merit list of candidates will be prepared and displayed on the university's official website after the conduction of the sports trials by the university.

Galgotias University Education Loan

Galgotias University would be requiring the following documents and a checklist for verification to get the education loan:

• 10th Mark Sheet, Passing certificate
• 12th Mark Sheet, Passing certificate
• Migration Certificate, Transfer certificate
• Gap year affidavit if applicable
• Character Certificate
• Medical Fitness Certificates
• 4 Passport size photo
• Diploma Mark Sheet (For Lateral Entry Students)
• Graduation Degree and Mark Sheet (For PG students)
• Post-Graduation Mark Sheet and Degree
• Aadhar Card is mandatory
• Admission Offer Letter
