Students who wish to work after successfully finishing their course are offered with placement assistance. A Central Coordinator (Distance Education Placement) at DEI-DEP Head Office and a proper administrative structure with a Training & Placement Officer (TPO) at each Information Centre make up the DEP Placement Cell.
Students from local Information Centers are invited to an interview at the Job Fair, where 20 to 40 employers come to conduct interviews in the same way they do on campus and hire a big number of students.
If a student does not qualify for one company, they will be invited to participate in multiple interviews.
Every year, 5 to 7 Employment Fairs are held in various places, with roughly 600 students receiving job offers near to their homes.
DEI's Distance Education programme began in 2004 with the goal of spreading the benefits of DEI's creative, inventive, and esteem-based instruction to all segments of society, particularly the weaker parts and women living in remote and tribal areas. Various work-arranged professional initiatives with very low costs are offered with the goal of their strengthening and financial advancement. Aside from these, more advanced level degree/certificate projects are also listed.
The IGNOU's Distance Education Council (DEC) evaluates the majority of the projects available. Separation training initiatives are currently available at 85 Study Centers in India and 6 Study Centers abroad. Research facilities, workshops, and high-quality correspondence innovation are all well-prepared. The Distance Education Program combines traditional face-to-face collaboration (3 hours per day, 6 days per week) with e-learning. A portion of the projects are taught in synchronous on-line mode, while others are taught electronically.
