HORTICET 2027 Seat Matrix

• The seat criteria for the course are the total number of seats allotted to all the diploma holders is 15% of the seats of B.Sc(Hons) Horticulture i.e 83 seats.
• 47 seats in government colleges and 36 seats in private colleges

HORTICET 2027 Tie-Breaking Criteria

A tie is a situation when two or more candidates have scored equal marks or ranks in the entrance exam. In case, if there is a tie exists in the final merit list, then it will be solved in the following way.

• At first, a candidate who has scored more marks in the qualifying examination i.e the diploma in the horticultural course will be given preference.
• If the tie persists, then it will be solved with the help of the date of birth. An older candidate will be given preference above the elder one.

HORTICET 2027 Counseling

The counseling round of HORTICET 2027 will commence after the declaration of the result. The counseling is expected to commence from the first week of August 2022. Those candidates who will find their name on the merit list will be eligible to appear in the counseling round. In the counseling session, the final allotment of seats to the candidates will be made. The university will publish the counseling schedule on its website. In the counseling session, the final allotment of seats to the candidates will be made. There will be many rounds of counseling until the seats are fully completed by the candidates. Candidates have to bring their original documents to the counseling, which will be required at the time of booking the seats. 

About Dr. YSR Horticultural University

Dr. YSR Horticultural University was established in the year 2007 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The university is situated at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari District, and is one of the second Horticultural University in the country. The mission of the university is the development of technologies for the horticultural crops to ensure the safety of the consumers, people involved in the production and environment and to reduce the cost of production through increased efficiency of inputs to enhance the profitability of the consumers. The university currently has 7 Horticultural colleges, 9 Horticultural polytechnics, 17 research stations, and 4 Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Andhra Pradesh.
