BLAT 2027 Syllabus

BLAT 2023 Syllabus is available here. Candidates are required to check the syllabus of the Banaras Law Admission Test (BLAT) 2023 in order to prepare for the examination thoroughly and based on the syllabus prescribed by the university. For admission to the university's law programmes, the Banaras Hindu University administers the BLAT law entrance test. Applicants are chosen based on their BLAT exam scores and must have completed their final qualifying degree. For undergraduate and postgraduate entrance, BHU holds two separate tests. UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) for undergraduate admission and PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test) for postgraduate entrance (Postgraduate Entrance Test).

BLAT 2023 Syllabus

The BLAT 2021 syllabus includes objective questions on a wide range of topics. English Comprehension, General Awareness and Current Affairs, Aptitude and Mental Ability, and Common Legal Knowledge are the key topics covered in the questions. The Important Information about the Syllabus for the Entrance Exam is included below for applicants' convenience:

  • The university has decided that the UG and PG law programmes will have different syllabus. Applicants for the UG law course should review crucial themes such as general awareness, current events, common legal knowledge, aptitude, and mental ability, among others.
  • If applying for a PG law course, applicants may refer to themes such as jurisprudence, contract law, tort law, constitutional law, criminal law, public international law, Indian evidence act, environment law, Muslim law, and Hindu law, among others.
  • It is recommended that applicants review the above-mentioned topics in order to do well on the admission exam.
  • Two sets of multiple-choice questions based on comprehension in Hindi and English will be included in the BHU Law Entrance question paper.  

  • Candidates who chose English as their medium of instruction will be required to complete English Comprehension questions from the exam.

  • Candidates who have chosen Hindi as their medium of communication must take the BLAT paper's Hindi Comprehension questions.

  • Questions on English Comprehension are used to assess candidates' language skills.
  • Questions in General Awareness and Current Affairs are based on general awareness and current affairs, as well as the most recent changes on the global and national fronts, to assess a candidate's understanding of social issues.
  • The Aptitude and Mental Abilities portion contains questions that test the candidate's decision-making ability using logic and knowledge.
  • The legal questions that are typically understood and posed as a component of general knowledge are summed up in the Common Legal Knowledge question. To be eligible to study for the applied course, this component consists of questions from all topics covering social, general, political, and logical concerns.
