- The written test is generally based on the topics related to general aptitude, writing skills, and basic courses of various disciplines at the undergraduate level.
- Those who will fail to qualify in the written test will not be called for an interview.

IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission 2020 Selection Process
Check the selection process for PhD admission below in the given points:
- Admission is generally offered based on an interview, along with the written test.
- The Institute will invite a few candidates for a written test and interview.
- The final selection for PhD admission will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and/or interview.
- Applicants who will be called for the Test / Interview will be reimbursed any amount exceeding Rs.750/- for to and fro single second-sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to the Institute /venue of the Test / Interview.
- It is required to produce evidence in support of the claim.

Before applying for any PhD course candidates must check their eligibility criteria. Follow the below steps and to fill IIT Gandhinagar PhD application form 2020:
- Visit the official website of the Institute.
- Click on the link " Apply" given in the admission section.
- The applicants will get two options they will have to click on one as per their residency.
- Fill the details by entering personal details, exam details, etc. and submit the form.
- Submit the fee as per the category.
- After successful submission of the application form, an application number and link to download the filled form will be shown on the screen itself.
- If an applicant wants to apply for more than one discipline, please submit a separate application for each discipline as per the norms.
- After completing the form must take the printout of it for all future references.
