IIT Bhilai admission for all the courses varies on the course opted by the candidate. IIT Bhilai provides admission in B.Tech with three specializations, M.Tech and Ph.D. programs in departments like Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
- Admission in B.Tech program is done on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.
- Applicants with Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Science/ Technology/ Engineering with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized University with a valid GATE score can apply for admission to M.Tech or Ph.D. program.
IIT Bhilai B.Tech Admission 2020
IIT Bhilai offers B.Tech in three specializations. The minimum eligibility for M.Tech is candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject with an aggregate of 75% marks from recognized board.
Selection to B.Tech is done based on scores obtained in JEE Advanced

IIT Bhilai M.Tech Admission 2020
IIT Bhilai provides admission in M.Tech with 03 specializations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science/Engineering/Technology or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) with a valid GATE score.
Candidate must have fulfilled the following eligibility criteria depending on the streams:
- Computer Science and Engineering: Valid GATE score in relevant subjects and must have excellent programming knowledge.
- Electrical Engineering: Applicant must have a valid GATE score in streams such as CS/EE/EC/PH/IN/MA.
- Mechanical Engineering: Valid GATE score in streams such as CE/ME/AE/PI/PH/XE.

IIT Bhilai Ph.D. Admission 2020
IIT Bhilai provides admission in Ph.D. course in six specializations. Admission to Ph.D. course is based on written test followed by the interview conducted by the institute itself for all departments. The institute conducts a written test for each department separately and interview conducted by college. Final merit list is prepared on the score in written test and interview round.
Candidates seeking admission in the Ph.D. program must fulfil any of the following requirements along with the general eligibility criteria:
- Valid GATE/NET score
- Valid JRF of CSIR/NBHM/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT/ICPR OR DST INSPIRE fellowship programme
- Minimum two years professional experience
